Senior photos c/o 2015.

As I prepared for this session I was a little nervous because it was my first time doing Senior photos, but having Miranda as my subject I was absolutely blessed. She came prepared for everything! She brought all the props, had poses to show me, and the energy was perfect. We ended up finding an old barn house, knocked on a lady's front door and politely asked if we could use it - she said YES. What a beautiful place. As Miranda is enjoying her first week of college now, I am glad that she has these pictures as memories to look back on someday and smile. As a photographer, I can honestly say these are some of the best pictures I have ever taken. A lot of it has to do with the emotions I think Miranda was feeling at the time along with her Mother. I remember just about ten years ago going through the same thing with mine. It's an emotional experience and I felt welcomed to be a part of it, but also a connection, and I think that made my eyes see things in a different way.

So as I strive to make things happen, I will also strive for this connection. That's the biggest task in taking pictures, and it can only get better from here.
