Brittany & Michael Wedding!

When the Mother of the bride asked me to take pictures for this wedding, I was ecstatic! This family has been good friends of mine for years, so when asked to photograph their wonderful moment, I absolutely agreed to do so. Anxious, excited, jacked up on coffee, and yet completely focused--I arrived at the house where the wedding would take place. I was able to be a part of everything like a member of the family from watching the girls do each others make-up, hair, and share special conversations before the bride to be walked down the isle. On this rainy and cloudy Saturday, we checked the weather throughout the whole morning and finally made the quick decision that the ceremony was going to be held outside. We had a short window where the rain would stop and we decided to make a leap of faith with it! That leap of faith was the best decision ever made, because not a drop fell until we were finished.

Tears, smiles, hugs, kisses, and complete affection for one another was observed through my camera lens and I must say that is one of the things I REALLY enjoy about being a photographer. Seeing the couple's first real kiss {AFTER} they were married, and watching them laugh and be their raw selves in front of one another was one of the most rewarding experiences that I have ever had.

Did I also mention the wedding was pulled together in just two short weeks? A marvelous job on so many different levels. What a beautiful day! Congrats to Brittany & Michael and here's to many, many, years of happiness. <3
